Welcome to Course ManagerThis application sets up and manages a large number of courses at an educational institution; it is geared towards online courses, but can be used to manage offline courses as well.You may mouse over the items on this page to display their descriptions. Click here to get started. The courses in our local database are displayed in the table below. You may click on most text fields to edit them; the data is updated immediately after you click out of the text box via AJAX call. Course Manager automatically imports courses from an online class schedule and allows you to quickly determine the status of these courses, generate a report, notify instructors, as well as many other important administrative tasks. In addition, the software is able to interface with a distance learning application, such as WebCT, to automatically set up the courses in your schedule and / or update the status of the courses based on their state on the server, as well as their content. The ability to quickly update the course status by clicking on the icon in the 'Ready' column and then setting up the courses on the distance learning server saves hundreds of man-hours each semester.
With one click, the administrator is able to see which courses have already been populated with content by the instructor and which are still empty and automatically contact those instructors who still need to add their content.
Course List Use the options in the drop-down menu to choose an action for the selected courses. You may choose set.. to set custom values for the selected courses using the text field or you may choose to close selected courses or set up blank shells. The creation of courses on the server is fully automatic with the clone and blank shell options.
